It seems like every night it is the focus of the local news. I keep wondering what is going to happen when winter comes, and it will come. I say that because we actually have tent cities across Western ND and tents are not that good with snow. I want to remind you once again that it is nearly impossible to find a rental of any kind. I was reminded of this when friends came to vist and there was not one motel room in the city for a night because all the apartments have been 100% full for over 3 years now. Every rental agency has a waiting list and some will not even put you on theirs if you smoke or have a pet. The best option is to buy a home. With property values going up as much as 30% a year and with interest rates now in the 3% something range (I refinanced mine yesterday at 3.5%) you can not lose. 08/10/10. North Dakota remains the healthiest State economically of all the States. Our little State of about 1/2 a million people has a State surplus of nearly 1 BILLION dollars. Over the last several years we have seen unbelievable growth while the rest of the US has had nothing but financial woes. For 3 years I've been preaching that if you want work you need to get off your butt and come here. "Man-up" and take care of your family! Get off the welfare role and start being a role model for your kids. We have the jobs, we just need RESPONSIBLE men and women to fill them.
